Taming the Mind

taming the mindyoutube[I feel like damage has been done as I'm not feeling like I'm resting securely in anything. Hard to describe.]

There is no damage. What is felt are repercussions of those times when mind first started exposing itself for lack of attention. Mind does that. It exposes itself, gets attention and quiets down. We say these are mind's tactics, pure and simple. Watch it roar, take heed and it quiets down. It's like a child and needs to be treated as such, unruly, undisciplined and all the rest. It is very clear when things don't go its way and will not stop reminding you. It is seen before the mind is done it will envelop all it can before giving up on itself. This we know. This we've seen.

We say this is a good occasion to continue our discussion forthwith, of those things which will inhibit, or bring stop to, the workings of the mind. The mind is a strange creature, born of a wit to match none, but we say sly and cunning are its trademarks for it goes by whatever will render it noticeable in the eyes of the owner. The mind relinquishes no control to anyone. It holds everything within itself, ready to use when necessary. It is in these times when mind is seen as armored and ready for action. It will not rest, be assured of that. It is always on the lookout for dangerous situations that might arise in its environment so we say this, watch carefully what its triggers are so that you will be able to gain the upper hand.

Triggers are set off and the mind goes into action, for itself and itself alone and there is no way around this for the mind will continue its quest for supreme control forever. There is no stopping it until that time when it is forever banished from the system. When you watch the mind react to situations watch carefully to determine the cause of upset and let it know what you see. In this way you begin to disarm its treacherous nature. When you become wise to the mind it has no choice but to give up and relinquish power back where it belongs and this is suitable indeed, for when the mind becomes acquainted with tactics used to keep it quiet, it has no choice but to do so and this we've seen over and over again.

So we say to you the mind is not your friend. It is not your enemy either but left unhindered it can cause much trouble for the being and this needs to be tempered with the knowledge of how the mind really works and what its goals actually are, for without this information little can be gained from attempts to outwit its treacherous nature.
